Big name speakers for World Crane and Transport Summit in Dublin
05 March 2025
Three high-profile figures have been confirmed as keynote speakers at this year’s World Crane and Transport Summit (WCTS) in Dublin, Ireland, on 18 and 19 November.
Dean Barley (president and CEO, Pan-America, Tadano Cranes), Wim Sarens (CEO, Sarens) and Doug Williams (chairman, Buckner Companies) will each give presentations at the conference.

The keynotes will provide a remarkable snapshot of the global industry from multiple perspectives: from that of a major OEM; from a global crane and transport rental company and contractor; and a leading entrepreneur from the US crane and rental sector.
The three will be joined by other presenters, including:
- Maurice van Sante (senior economist construction and team lead sectors, ING Research), who will give an overview of construction market forecasts and trends;
- Chris Sleight (managing director, Off-Highway Research), who will reveal new research in sales of different crane types around the world.
The welcome address will be given by Joel Dandrea, CEO at the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association. SC&RA is the exclusive event partner.
The conference will also feature round-table sessions on the challenges of lifting and transport on wind energy projects and on finding, developing and keeping a skilled workforce.

More information on the conference can be found here. The event will comprise a social programme on the afternoon of 18 November, with an evening drinks reception, followed by the full-day conference on 19 November.

Companies or individuals who would like to speak at the event are invited to contact Alex Dahm ([email protected]), Niamh Marriott ([email protected]), or Murray Pollok ([email protected]).
