Heavy lifting and project transportation company Hareket, already providing services at the Bautino TS marine base port in Kazakhstan, has expanded its activities there and invested in its equipment.

By increasing the evacuation capacity of the port with 600 tonne cranes, Hareket has become able to offer an end-to-end solution in the region in terms of integrated project logistics.

Hareket provides services to other companies that use the port both for their own projects and those who want to unload heavy cargo there.

Abdullah Altunkum, board member of Hareket, said the company’s intentions are to establish a heavy lift terminal with international standards at the port, and made sea access possible for many projects through the Don-Volga Canal, Russia.

Altunkum said, “Heavy cargo transportation on roads is much more difficult due to physical conditions so it is a great advantage to have a port that can unload heavy cargo, as global projects need high tonnage discharge capacities.”

Altunkum said that the port will play an important role in achieving the company’s goal of becoming a global brand over the next five years.
