Management changes at Makro

Makro Engenharia in Brazil has appointed two new leaders from inside the business.

The changes to the crane rental and transport services company’s management structure reinforce one of the company’s main operating principles, of developing leaders who grow with the company.

Paulo Robson is the new chief operating officer while Igor Branco takes over as head of sales. Both started at Makro in entry-level positions. Robson joined 20 years ago as an intern in the finance department and 14 years ago Branco started as a sales assistant.

Robson led the Commercial Department from 2022 to 2025. He was one of the people responsible for expanding Makro operations in mining, steel, pulp and paper, energy and oil and gas. He will lead the operational strategy with a focus on efficiency, innovation, and safety, Makro said.

Branco’s leadership of the sales team is backed by a strong background in customer relationships, strategic account management, and the development of tailored solutions.
