USA-based All Erection will expand its fleet with the purchase of two Liebherr all terrain cranes.

The order comprises a 250 tonne capacity LTM 1250-6.1 and a 200 tonne LTM 1200-5.1, both of which will be ready for delivery in May 2011.

The LTMs have Tier 4 engines to meet the EPA Clean Air Nonroad Diesel Rule, mandating reduced emissions in non-road diesel engines. Tier 4 engines have emissions control technologies that decrease exhaust emissions by more than 90% and decrease the allowable level of sulphur in non-road diesel fuel by more than 99%.

The six-axle LTM 1250-6.1 has a six-section telescopic boom extending from 15.5 to 72 m. A lattice jib offers additional reach up to 70 m.

The LTM 1200-5.1 has the longest telescopic boom on the market in the 5-axle class, according to the manufacturer. The seven-section, 72 m telescopic boom can be extended with a 7 m lattice jib and a swing-away jib up to 36 m long.

"The timing on this deal couldn't have been better," said Michael Liptak, president of the All family of companies. "With the 200 to 300 US ton ATs steadily increasing in global demand, these LTMs give new muscle to our rental fleet."
