The seven-axle crane has an 80 metre main boom and was chosen for its capability with erecting construction cranes, the company said.

The crane was handed over by Tadano sales manager Hans Asam at Weiss’ premises in Mindelheim, Germany.

Junior manager Dominik Magg said the crane was selected for “its compact design, large lifting capacity and long boom. He commented that “work sites keep getting tighter and tighter, while tower cranes keep getting bigger and bigger.”

The company’s AC 300-6 was starting to be too small for new projects and a larger crane was needed. Cranes from other manufacturers were too long for the job.

The crane is equipped with the Tadano Surround View camera system.

Within a few days of being delivered the crane was used on three different work sites.
