Andreas Ernst joins Terex Cranes

Terex Cranes appointed Andreas Ernst as general manager cranes, Americas, on 25 January 2021. He will be based in Wilmington, North Carolina, and takes responsibility for Terex rough terrain, tower and pick and carry crane business in the Americas, including sales, service and business development.

Ernst joins Terex from Steinert, where he was president for North America, offering sorting systems for scrap, recycling and mining. Before that he was at Sennebogen, on the material handling products. He started out in Germany before moving to the USA in 2006.

Terex said the appointment is the next stage in Terex Cranes growth strategy with a renewed focus on the Americas.

Commenting on the appointment Kieran Hegarty, Terex Materials Processing division president, said, “America is our natural market and that represents only the first step to ensure we keep being a leading Company in the lifting industry in all our product lines.”
