Braden introduces high-capacity hydraulic winches

Braden has expanded its TR Series hydraulic planetary winch lineup with two new models designed for trailer manufacturers, towing and recovery fleets, utilities and forestry applications.

The TR25 and TR35 build on the company’s established planetary gear platform, offering higher pulling capacities in a compact package intended to simplify installation for OEMs and upfitters.

Both winches share a low-profile, 18-inch (458 mm) mounting bolt pattern that allows them to directly replace existing hydraulic units without requiring equipment redesign.

Each model uses a rugged planetary gear train and oil-bath lubrication to support continuous-duty operation. Low-friction ball bearings reduce power loss under load. Urethane brake seals are designed to withstand abrasive environments. Users can choose manual or air-actuated freespool clutch engagement depending on operational needs.

The TR25 provides a 25,000-pound (11,340-kilogramme) rated line pull and is available with short or long drum options to accommodate different rope capacities, including 9/16-inch (14-millimeter) or 5/8-inch (16-millimeter) wire or synthetic rope. The larger TR35 delivers a 35,000-pound (15,876-kg) line pull with capacity for 155 feet (47.2 meters) of 3/4-inch (19-millimeter) wire rope. Both winches meet SAE J706 performance requirements.
