ConExpo Asia to join BICES?

ConExpo Asia, the exhibition held at the Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou in China could join forces with the BICES exhibition with a joint event planned for 2009.

KHL understands negotiations concerning construction equipment exhibitions in China between Messe München, organiser of the Bauma China exhibition and the US's Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), organiser of ConExpo Asia, and the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA), one of the organisers of the Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition and Seminar (BICES), have been taking place for some time.

An official announcement is expected around the 15 December but some details of the deal have been revealed.

The 10th BICES exhibition will be held in Jiuhua International Convention and Exhibition Center Beijing in 2009 from 3 to 6 November as scheduled.

The deal will mean the Chinese construction equipment market will be served by two major shows, Bauma China, which was held in 2008, and the BICES/ConExpo Asia show, which could be held in alternate years.
