Covid regulations for travel to France

France has a website for travellers offering guidance on how to negotiate the various Covid-related regulations. Click here for details

Vaccinated travellers
If you are fully vaccinated, you are required to travel with proof of vaccination and carry a sworn declaration about your health. You can download the declaration form from the above website.

Non-vaccinated
If you are not fully vaccinated, the requirements are determined by whether you are travelling from a ‘Green’, ‘Amber’ or ‘Red’ country. A sworn declaration on your health is required in all cases.

  • Green: At the time of writing Green countries include the European Union, Australia, Canada, Singapore and many others. In this case, you have to present a negative PCR or antigen test taken less than 72 hours before your flight.
  • Amber: This category includes the UK and the USA. Unvaccinated travellers from Amber countries can only travel to France if there are “pressing grounds” for travel. You must also present a negative PCR test taken less than 72 hours before your flight, or a negative antigen test taken less than 48 hours before departure. If you are travelling from the UK, the PCR or antigen test must be taken within 24 hours of departure.
  • Red: Red countries include Brazil, Georgia, Russia and Turkey. You can only travel with “pressing grounds”; will require a negative PCR or antigen test; and must quarantine for 10 days on arrival.

Regulations may change at any time, so we encourage you to visit the French government website given above to check for updates.

In addition, we remind delegates that they will also have to comply with the travel regulations of their own countries when returning after the event.
