03 September 2014
Agreement has been reached for Barnhart to purchase Crane Rental & Rigging of Omaha, Nebraska, USA.
Crane Rental & Rigging, with 60 employees and a fleet of more than 40 cranes, will operate as Barnhart and will transition as part of the company’s network of branches. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
In addition to its offices and yard in Omaha, Crane Rental & Rigging operates branches in Lincoln, NE and South Sioux City, NE. The company also has offices in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Davenport and Ames, IA and in Sioux Falls, SD.
Barnhart said that customers in the Midwest will continue to receive the same services they have received through the years, but now as a part of the Barnhart "One Team" network, they will have access to the company’s innovative rigging systems, wind turbine up-tower services, project cargo logistics capabilities, and a department of more than 40 engineers.
"Crane Rental & Rigging has a history of doing excellent work," said Alan Barnhart, Barnhart CEO. "This acquisition will allow customers to receive a broader range of services that should help lower overall project costs. We think customers throughout the Midwest will be very pleased with the expansion of services they will experience through this acquisition."
With a network of more than 30 facilities, Barnhart is headquartered in Memphis, TN.
