Crane Service Company marks 100 years

To mark the milestone, Crane Service Company hosted a centennial event attended by more than 500 employees and family members. 

Crane Service Company is marking its 100th anniversary, highlighting a century of family ownership and steady growth in the Mid-Atlantic lifting and transport market.

Founded in 1926 and based in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, USA, the company has remained family-owned across four generations, with a fifth now involved in the business. Over that time, it has expanded from a small operation into a provider of crane services, rigging, heavy hauling, logistics and warehousing, supporting a range of infrastructure and commercial projects across the region.

While the scale of its operations has evolved, the company says its focus on long-term relationships and consistent project delivery has remained unchanged. “This anniversary belongs to the people who have helped build this company—our team, our clients and our partners,” said Brian Mazzella, president.
