Ematec launches yoke rental option at WindEnergy 2026
10 September 2026
German manufacturer Ematec used WindEnergy 2026 in Hamburg to unveil a rental offering for its RBC-D rotor blade yoke, the only yoke on the market with an adaptive blade gripping system compatible with all rotor blade types regardless of size, weight or manufacturer.

The RBC-D handles blade weights up to 50 tonnes and accommodates current high-output turbine generations including Enercon’s E-175 EP5 E2 and the Vensys 175, as well as previous and future blade generations.
The yoke’s curved arch keeps it aligned with the centre of gravity when tilted up to ±30 degrees or pitched up to ±8 degrees, with two counterweights on the yoke wings adjusting automatically to the centre of gravity with or without a blade attached.
The double version adds telescopic grippers at both top and bottom, keeping blades clamped at tilt angles up to ±30 degrees. Ematec says the technology saves up to three days of construction time per turbine compared with conventional installation methods.
Also unveiled at the show was the Ematec Diagonal Pull Sensor (DPS), a two-axis side-pull sensor system for cranes. The wireless unit, comprising a battery-powered sensor unit and ground unit communicating in real time, gives crane operators a graphical readout of hook block alignment on X and Y axes. It allows confirmation the hook is directly above the yoke’s centre of gravity before detaching the RBC-D from the blade. Wireless range extends to 200 metres, and data can also be transmitted via Wi-Fi to a tablet. The system uses different radio frequencies depending on continent, covering the Americas and Asia.
