USA-based crane dealer Empire Crane has taken delivery of two new Jekko articulating crawler cranes, a JF545 and a JF990, the latter being one of the first to be delivered in the US.

The JF990 crane is the biggest transportable crawler in the brand’s range. It features a maximum lifting capacity of 21 tonnes and a 34 metre maximum reach. It also has an option for a man basket.

The JF545 comes with a GMT grapple saw already attached and boasts 15.5 tonne max lifting capacity and 32 metre maximum lifting height.

“The Jekko brand is a new and burgeoning offering for our company and is one that we’re very excited to see where it leads,” said Paul Lonergan, president and part owner of Empire Crane.

“We’re thrilled to be the first dealer in the country to offer as versatile a machine as the JF990. Even though it’s the largest crane in Jekko’s fleet, its size is still manageable in tight spaces while being able to take on some serious tonnage.”

Empire Crane became an authorized dealer of Jekko machines in December 2022. More than 20 purchases and rentals have already been facilitated by Empire’s sales team in the northeast to customers around the USA.

Last year, Bigge Crane and Rigging, one of the USA’s largest crane sales and rental companies, acquired the majority stake in Empire Crane Company.
