Etnyre introduces 55TL3-SA sliding axle lowboy trailer

Etnyre International in the USA has added a new sliding axle lowboy trailer for hauling heavy construction equipment.

The new 55TL3-SA is designed for moving pavers and other roadbuilding equipment, earthmoving machines and other infrastructure machinery.

The new trailer can carry up to 55 US tons (50 tonnes); up to 35 tons (31 tonnes) on any 10 foot (3 metre) segment.

Basic features include full-width 1.5-inch (38 mm) low-angle apitong timber decking with rubber-encased steel approach ramp.

Full deck length is 53 feet (16 metres), with a width of 8.5 feet (2.6 metres). Deck height is 37 inches (900 mm). Chain slots are located on the inner and outer beams at 24 inch (600 mm) intervals.

There are three 25,000 pound (11 tonne) axles with air brakes and ABS (6S/3M system).

Leave it hitched

The sliding axle allows loading over the rear of the trailer without having to disconnect it from the truck. According to the company, this provides optimal weight distribution and manoeuverability while maintaining a low load angle for safer and easier equipment loading.

This also allows faster unloading, especially useful when making frequent equipment transfers.

Other key features include a full-width gooseneck, air ride suspension with 60 inch (1.5 metre) axle spacing, LED lighting system with amber strobe lights, and oversize load banner and flag holders.

A 20,000 pound (900 kg) hydraulic winch with 100 foot (30 metre) cable is also included, with a Bluetooth remote control.

The new trailer comes with a gloss black Etnyre finish.
