Global heavy lift and transport specialist Fagioli has returned to the UK market in a new partnership with Notus Contract Lifting Limited.

Notus-Fagioli Joint Venture combines the experience of Notus with the heavy lifting and transport capability of Fagioli around the world. Its aim is, “To set a new benchmark for lifting assurance, cost efficiency and programme certainty across UK infrastructure and industry.”

The new venture will be led by Simon Crawley and Luca Croglia. Cristiano Cavallini, Fagioli group VP strategic partnership and business development, commented, “I am proud to announce this strategic partnership with Notus, which marks Fagioli’s re-entry into the UK heavy lift market.

“This collaboration brings together Fagioli’s global track record of delivering complex projects across every continent with Notus’ strong local knowledge and dynamic execution in the UK. By combining these strengths, we will provide clients with innovative, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions tailored to the unique demands of the UK market.”

Shared vision

For his part Scott Mitchell, Notus Contract Lifting managing director, said, “I am both proud and excited to be leading Notus into this strategic partnership with the Fagioli Group. Their track record in global heavy lift speaks for itself, and from our very first meeting with Cristiano, Lorenzo, and the wider Fagioli team, it was clear that we share the same vision and passion for shaping the future of the heavy lift industry.

“Together, we are confident that we can build on Notus’ reputation and bring the same world-class standards that Fagioli has delivered on the global stage to projects here in the UK.”

Over the next few months Italy-headquartered Fagioli will ship some of its heavy lift and transport fleet, which includes a total of more than 2,000 axle lines of self propelled modular transporter (SPMT), plus some of its jacking and skidding equipment, to Kent in the south east of the UK.
