Lifting, transport and equipment rental specialist Felbermayr in Austria opened a new branch in the town of Seiersberg-Pirka.

It is a 50,000 square metre site south of Graz with space for workshops, warehouses and vehicles, ready for long-term growth.

Strong growth in the last 30 years put increasing pressure on the company’s infrastructure at its location in Graz. Cranes and specialized transport equipment are larger and take up more space.

“With this new branch, we are sending a strong signal for Felbermayr’s future in Styria. Our ambition to set standards in technology and equipment is also reflected in this modern location,” said Horst Felbermayr, Felbermayr Holding CEO.

“Clear lines, light-filled spaces and communication-promoting meeting zones express what is important to us in our collaboration: openness, trust and transparency.”

Making room

More space is available at the new branch which also has a direct connection to the motorway. The fleet there is around 50 cranes, 45 trucks and trailers and 500 aerial work platforms. Parking spaces for more than 70 trucks are available for daily operations.

“We have grown continuously in Styria, and our current presence in the region is the result of consistent and outstanding entrepreneurial work. This development was by no means a given, especially at the beginning,” commented Wolfgang Schellerer, managing director of transport and lifting technology at Felbermayr.

A 27 metre-long inspection pit has been incorporated into the new workshop and there is a fuel station on site. A 488 kW photovoltaic system supplies part of the site’s electricity.

Felbermayr has 81 locations in 17 European countries. It has3,300 employees, generating sales of €737 million in 2025.
