• Companies are listed in the IC50 by their IC Index, which is calculated by adding together the maximum lifting capacities in metric tonnes of all crawler cranes and mobile cranes in a company's fleet.

•The IC50 rank column indicates the position taken from the full IC50 table in IC&ST.

• To refl ect the increasingly widespread use of the tonne-metre rating method, in future this (or the US equivalent) should be used to calculate the IC Index number.

• The IC Index figure is calculated by the crane-owning companies.
