Prior to operation of a forklift, OSHA requires employees to successfully complete a training program that includes formal instruction, practical training, and evaluation. This online forklift operator training program is provided to help students complete the initial phase of formal instruction required by OSHA 1910.178(l)(2)(ii) and provides instruction regarding safe and professional operation.

PLEASE NOTEUpon successful completion of this online training program, the trainee is responsible for scheduling and successfully completing a practical evaluation under the direction of a qualified person in order to demonstrate proficiency and complete the requirements for training.

Objectives

On successful completion of this online course, students will be able to sufficiently demonstrate their knowledge of the subject matter and move forward with their training to the practical and evaluation portions.

This online forklift operator training course will cover the following topics:

Assessment

Candidates will be required to complete a multiple-choice test at the end of each section of the online training and must achieve a passing score of 100% before moving to the next module.

OSHA’s forklift standard requires as part of a training program that trainees complete a practical evaluation in addition to formal instruction. Students successfully completing this online course are responsible for scheduling their practical evaluation to complete the training program.
