Maryland, USA-based Herrington Harbour Eco-Lifestyle Marina Resorts has purchased its fourth Marine Travelift, a new 50 BFM II mobile boat hoist.

The new boat hoist will be put to use at Herrington Harbour North, which has the capacity to store 1,200 boats.

The 50 BFM II comes with new features, including a sailboat top beam extension and a wireless remote control with a range of 300 feet (90 m).

The harbour is currently undergoing a yacht yard expansion. Once this is completed the 50 BFM II will get its own piers, where it will handle 35 to 55 foot (10 to 17 m) boats.

Herrington Harbour purchased its first Marine Travelift in 1982, with a 25 US ton (23 tonne) mobile boat hoist. Today, it operates two 35 US ton (32 tonne) machines, one 70 US ton (64 tonne) and the new 50 US ton (45 tonne).
