Gary Lane promoted at Link-Belt Cranes

Link-Belt Cranes has appointed Gary Lane as its new vice president of marketing, sales and customer support, effective July 1, 2025. The announcement was made by Link-Belt President and CEO Melvin Porter at the company’s headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky, USA.
Lane brings nearly three decades of experience in the crane industry, including a deep understanding of sales, distribution, and customer relations. Since joining Link-Belt in 2008 as a district manager covering the central United States, he has played a key role in the company’s growth. Prior to that, Lane spent nine years leading crane sales for general equipment & supplies, a Link-Belt dealer serving Minnesota and North Dakota. Most recently, he has served as Link-Belt’s manager of North American sales since early 2021.
“Gary’s experience within Link-Belt Cranes, the heavy equipment industry, and his knowledge of distribution will be beneficial in leading the company into the future,” said Porter. “Gary has always maintained a strong focus on customer service and support.”
A U.S. Navy veteran, Lane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska. His leadership in this new role is expected to further strengthen Link-Belt’s position in the market while enhancing customer support and distribution strategies.
