The crane will be used for tower crane assembly, HVAC system installations, industrial and construction work, and boat handling.

In addition to the GMK5250XL-1, Baldini Group runs a mix of Grove all terrain cranes, including models from three-axles up to six-axle models. (Photo: Manitowoc)

It has a 78.5 metre main boom and an outrigger footprint of 7.8 metres. Baldini purchased the crane with an 18 metre bi-fold swingaway jib that can be extended to 34 metres with inserts.

“We like to have versatile cranes in our fleet, and with the GMK5250XL-1 we get a compact crane, with a long boom, strong carrier, and great load charts. The operators love it because it has a really comfortable cab and is easy and intuitively set up,” said Andrea Baldini, co-owner of Baldini Group.

“We can configure it in multiple set-ups and it’s perfect for a wide variety of projects.”
