The company already owns a Grove GMK4100L-1 and opted to invest in the GMK4100L-2 to refresh its fleet with a familiar model.

Nuclear work

The company said it is adding the new unit at a critical time, as infrastructure development in Poland continues to grow with projects such as a billion-dollar investment in rail upgrades and expanded nuclear power capabilities going live.

“Our new GMK4100L-2 is extremely versatile and compact,” said Karol Miśkiewicz, owner of Karmax. “It’s ideal for standard lifting jobs at busy construction sites, where precision and control are key, and access is often tight.

“Our operators love it too – it’s super comfortable and the new cab tilts to 20 degrees, for better visibility. It’s this kind of attention to detail that makes a difference when working for hours at a time.”

The Grove GMK4100L-2 has 6.8 tonnes of counterweight on-board and it can travel within 12 tonne per axle limits. Up to 26 tonnes of total counterweight is available. Power comes from a Mercedes-Benz EUROMOT 5 engine.

Karmax purchased the crane with the optional Maxbase variable outrigger positioning system.
