Heisterkamp adds 100 Kässbohrer trailers

Specialist truck and trailer provider Heisterkamp has expanded its vehicle fleet with the addition of 100 semi-trailers from manufacturer Kässbohrer.

The Netherlands-based company, which has been in operation for over 100 years, serves customers across Europe. It provides rental, lease and breakdown services for curtainsider, box, reefer, container chassis and airfreight trailers.

While the value of the vehicle deal was not disclosed, the entire order comprised the German manufacturer’s Curtainsider K.SCX model.

According to Kässbohrer, all the new vehicles have been equipped with extra features. These include a reinforced and closed king-pin section with a welded sliding plate, a reinforced rear door, and galvanized bumper for ferry operations.

Bart Peters, general manager at Heisterkamp Trailer Rental & Leasing, said, “As Heisterkamp, we already operate with Kässbohrer vehicles and are satisfied with their robustness and performance.

“Kässbohrer Curtainsiders are long lasting with their KTL coated robust chassis. In addition to our operations in the Netherlands and in Germany, we will now operate with Kässbohrer vehicles in Spain.”

The Curtainsider K.SCX vehicles, which are equipped with the K-Fix Load Security System, also include 2 x 4 units of ferry rings in compliance with Standard EN 29367-2.

The new trailers will join Heisterkamp’s fleet of over 4000 trailers and 750 trucks, which are spread across depots in the Netherlands, Germany, Latvia, Romania and Spain.
