Hiab expands in USA with MGX as new dealer

Loader cranes made by Hiab are to be distributed in 13 US states by MGX Equipment Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of USA-headquartered crane manufacturer Manitowoc.

Under the dealer agreement MGX will cover sales, service and spare parts supply in the states of Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, Virginia, Wyoming, and Utah. MGX said it will carry parts for the Hiab loader crane range and field a team of mobile service technicians.

Commenting on the move Keith Poff, MGX vice president and general manager of US distribution, said Hiab range would sit well alongside his company’s existing products. “We are excited to add the Hiab range of loader cranes to our offering as it represents the gold standard in loader cranes. We look forward to presenting these cranes to customers and delivering value to their businesses.”

Poff continued, “The Hiab range of cranes are perfect for a variety of applications, such as roofing, building materials handling, and concrete foundation work. There are also opportunities in rail, municipal, and utility work, so these really are versatile additions to just about any equipment fleet.”

Important milestone

Hiab has 3,000 sales and service outlets serving more than 100 countries. Annual sales are around €1.6 billion and there are more than 4,000 employees.
