HMF launches 16 tonne loader crane series

Danish crane manufacturer HMF launched a new series of articulating or knuckle boom models capable of lifting upto 16 tonnes.

The new 6120K-RCS offers a maximum load moment rating of 52.8 tonne-metres and a reach of up to 21.3 metres is available. Configurations can include the addition of fly jibs and winches. Adding a fly jib increases the reach to 31.4 metres. A man basket can also be added.

Tough performer

Designed and built in Denmark, it is promoted as a model for demanding conditions. The testing process included computer simulations and completion of more than 100,000 lifts. Features include double slewing motors, dual circuit hydraulics. Full wireless access is available to access data for diagnostics.

The manufacturer’s surface treatment is to the C4 corrosion class, to withstand harsh weather, including environments with high humidity, salt exposure, and industrial pollution. It helps ensure long service life and lower maintenance. It has been tested with biodegradeable oil to aid sustainability.
