H&S Autokran adds new Tadano AC 4.080-1 crane

The team at Philippsthal, Hesse, Germany-based crane service provider H&S Autokrane added a new Tadano AC 4.080-1 all terrain crane to its rental fleet. Three of the company’s five cranes are from the Tadano range.

Tadano sales manager Helge Prüfer formally handed the new crane over to H&S managing director Matthias Schug, who travelled to Lauf for the occasion. Schug was happy with the new crane. 

“With its 60 metre main boom and compact dimensions, the AC 4.080-1 is the gold standard in the 80 tonne class,” said Schug. “It’s simply a great crane.”

Schug said he was impressed with the high degree of versatility made possible by the large amount of counterweight that can be carried on the crane itself. Thanks to this feature, the AC 4.080-1 can serve as a highly cost-effective taxi crane for a wide range of jobs, according to Tadano.

The intelligent IC-1 Plus control system ensures that the operator can always take advantage of the crane’s maximum available lifting capacity, Tadano said. In many cases, this combination eliminates the need for a separate counterweight truck.

Fully loaded

H&S ordered the crane with practically the full equipment package – including the Surround View camera system, which makes the machine very easy to position in tight spaces.

For the intended application areas – such as refineries or steel-frame construction projects – the crane is, in Schug’s view, the best overall package on the market.

Founded in 2010, H & S Autokrane GmbH is based in Philippsthal, in the German state of Hesse. Services include complete concept development as well as a 24-hour on-call service for crane operations, construction machinery rental with operators, and all types of transport work. In addition to mobile and truck-mounted cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 40 to 300 tonnes, the H&S fleet includes counterweight trucks with capacities of up to 66 tonnes as well as spreader beams with capacities up to 10 tonnes, and special lifting spreaders with capacities up to 50 tonnes.
