William Finkle, who founded Cropac Equipment in Ontario, Canada, died on April 30, 2007 in Germany. Finkle built the company from a small P&H crane distributor in 1997 to a full-line crane distribution company for Eastern Canada, representing cranes and boom trucks manufactured by Manitowoc, Potain, Terex, Elliott, Tadano and Manitex.

He is survived by his loving family, including wife Nancy, daughter Kerry-Lee Marie and son William John and his wife Susan, and grandchildren. Finkle will be missed by a cadre of employees, friends and colleagues in the crane industry who held him in high regard.

The family has asked that those wishing to make contributions in Finkle's name make them to Darling Home for Kids (formerly Rose Cherry's Home for Kids), 5657-15th Side Road, Milton, ON L9T 2X7.
