Jay Folladori, 69, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2023, after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife and his children who admired him so. Joseph, fondly known as Jay, was born to Joseph Folladori and Sarah Hamilton on November 1, 1953, in Atlanta, Georgia, but called Memphis, TN home.

Jay Folladori, 1953-2023

Folladori graduated from the University of Arkansas and was a loyal Razorback fan. He spent his career in Transportation Logistics Management. He was a dedicated leader to his staff with titles ranging from operations manager to vice president of different divisions at Landstar, to his last title of president of Bennett Motors Express. He received many management achievement awards and was part of multiple associations. He was especially active in the Specialized Carriers & Riggers Association, serving as Chairman and as a member of the Board of Directors.

Folladori was a sports enthusiast playing baseball and football in his adolescence. In adulthood, he fell in love with golf and enjoyed playing some of the most prestigious courses in the country. He had a beaming smile that warmed everyone’s heart he encountered. He was charismatic, intelligent, witty, giving, and compassionate with a love for life. He mentored many and was always willing to lend a listening ear.

Folladori is survived by his devoted wife Linda; children, Jason and Lindsey; and grandchildren JD and Leo. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Marc and Mary, and their children from Houston, Texas; cousins in Memphis, TN; many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews in Northwest Arkansas. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Sarah.
