17 July 2026
Laso Lasarte Wind, a division of Laso Lasarte, has completed delivery of the last 121 wind turbines for the Aftissat Wind Farm in Morocco.
Located south of Laayoune in the Saharan province of Boujdour, the project is set to have an installed generating capacity of 460 MW.

The project was divided into four phases. For completion of this final phase, Laso Lasarte Wind deployed a fleet of 25 specialised vehicles capable of transporting the 90-metre blades and other other main turbine components, some of which weigh in excess of 100 tons.
Each of these parts were transported from the Port of Laayoune to the construction site, a distance of about 200 kilometres.
Laso Lasarte stated that it was involved in the movement of more than 500 wind turbines used across the project.
Other projects supported by Laso Lasarte Wind include delivery of 12 wind turbines for a desalination plant in Dakhla, Western Sahara, and further turbines for a wind farm in Midelt, a town located in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains.
