The new 1970C boom truck from Manitex

US manufacturer Manitex has introduced a new 19 US ton (17 metric ton) boom truck, the 1970C. Available on a 4 x 2 chassis, the 1970C is expected to be widely used in rental applications.

The 1970C offers a 70 foot (21.3 meter) three-section proportional boom with a maximum boom tip height of 121 feet 3 inches (37 m).

The truck mounted lift also has a two-speed planetary hoist with grooved drum and negative draft flanges, load moment indicator system, two-section telescopic jib option, and A-frame outriggers and stabilizers.
