The Evy 28-21 is a 2.2-tonne capacity crane designed for residential construction, carpentry and roofing applications.
It delivers a tip load of 950 kg at its 28-metre jib end using the built-in P+ function, with a standard horizontal working height of 21 metres. Three jib inclination options of 10, 20 or 30 degrees allow adaptation to site conditions, according to the company.
On-site, Smart Set-Up remote guidance automates erection. The crane’s onboard Crane Control System, Drive Control and Power Control manage transport, set-up and operation, while the integrated Potain CONNECT platform provides remote diagnostics, equipment tracking and maintenance planning. The entire counterweight ships on one truck.
The Evy 28-21 meets the upcoming EN 14439:2025 European safety standard for tower cranes, which takes effect in January 2027.
Alongside the new crane at Batimat, Manitowoc will display customer support accessories including the PowerBoost battery system for self-erecting cranes, modular anchor ties for tower cranes, crane-mounted camera systems and a crane operator urinal.
