Markewitsch takes delivery of third-gen AC 3.045-1 City Crane

Markewitsch is a crane specialist based in Nuremberg, Germany. The company took delivery of its first Tadano City Crane in 2002 – moving forward to the present day, the company has recently taken delivery of a third-generation AC 3.045-1 City. The new addition will join three other City Cranes on the fleet.

“With the City Cranes we’re not only extremely flexible indoors, but also in general, especially when it comes to navigating tight entrances, maneuvering into corners, or when a compact slewing radius is crucial – in short, wherever space is limited, the City is simply unbeatable,” said André Markewitsch, managing director.

Key to this functionality in tight spaces are the stepless and asymetrically extendable Flex Base outriggers. “And that it can lift up to 25 tons with the heavy-duty jib is also very impressive for a crane of this class,” added Markewitsch.

The AC 3.045-1 City delivered to Markewitsch featured the e-Pack preparation. This allows the crane to be used in areas such as cleanroom construction or areas where there are reduced noise emission requirements.

Doors do not have to remain open and fire suppression systems do not have to be deactivated, other elements which help with ease of operation.

Markewitsch is set to use the new AC 3.045-1 City industrial assembly services, a sector which the managing director says accounts for about half of company revenue.

The new crane, which will be based at the company’s Schweinfurt site, was delivered at the Tadano plant in Lauf by sales manager Hans Asam and Tadano DACH head of Sales Frank Brachtendorf.

“The fact that [Markewitsch] has once again chosen one of our City Cranes is a strong indication of the quality of our solutions and our partnership,” added Tadano’s Hans Asam.
