Maxim hard at work on Indianapolis hotel

Premium Content

Maxim teamed up with F.A. Wilhelm Construction for the new Hyatt House and Hyatt Place Hotel being constructed in Downtown Indianapolis. The project features a 15-story hotel on a limited access site with an adjoining 8-story parking garage. Maxim Crane deployed a Peiner Sk315 hammerhead tower crane and a Comedil 332 flat top tower crane.

The installation required a 450 ton all terrain crane with luffing jib to erect the towers on a high-volume city street in front of a sports venue building for the Indiana Pacers. The contractor, F.A. Wilhelm Construction deployed a table form system and placing boom for concrete to construct the floors and a climbing form system for the elevator shafts.
