In an extension of its existing capability, MyCrane now offers a service for crane buyers, in addition to those looking for crane rental.

Online crane rental platform MyCrane has launched its crane Marketplace for buyers of cranes and related equipment. It allows existing MyCrane users or anybody else worldwide to buy and sell new and used cranes and related equipment. Marketplace “promotes a shift from low volume and costly trades, to numerous, cost-efficient sales transactions,” the company said.

There is no cost for a subscription. A fee is paid when a sale is concluded.

Equipment sold on Marketplace includes wheeled and crawler mobile cranes, tower cranes, aerial work platforms and more.

Democratisation

Commenting on the new element ain the platform Andrei Geikalo, MyCrane founder and CEO, said, “Just as we’ve made crane rental easy and accessible for all, we now want to democratise the equipment sales process, by supporting fast, global trading and providing access to a wide range of keenly-priced equipment.”

The idea is that it will “streamline the buying process, increase transparency and choice, and create a robust trading platform for the benefit of the entire industry,” Geikalo continued.

Potential purchasers will be able to search for available cranes and filter them according to age and condition. Inspection reports will be available and the company can help with financing, transport, delivery and insurance.
