Schares adds another new Tadano City crane

Autokrane Schares in Germany expanded its Tadano city class mobile crane fleet with the addition of a new AC 3.045-1 City.

Its arrival had special meaning for crane operator Andreas Erzening in that the new crane was assigned to him to mark his 30th work anniversary at Autokrane Schares. Company managing director Tim Schlattmann collected the new crane from the manufacturer’s facility in Lauf, where it was handed over by Helge Prüfer, Tadano sales manager.

“No one is more familiar with the advantages of Tadano City cranes than us – after all, we have several AC 40 City units in our fleet already and are tremendously happy with them. And the current AC 3.045-1 City builds on them so successfully that it’s significantly better in every respect,” Schlattmann exalted.

Buying decisions

Decisive factors in the decision to purchase the AC 3.045-1 City included power when telescoping under load and the Flex Base outrigger placement and optimisation system, plus the crane’s compact dimensions. Tadano said its overall height of 3.18 metres and its 7.80 metre boom base section make it the most compact crane in its class.

“We also loved the higher engine power in comparison to its predecessor, as well as the rear axle steering that makes the crane extremely manoeuvrable – put all this together, and the AC 3.045-1 City is simply unbeatable when it comes to indoor projects and jobs at work sites where space is cramped,” Eric Reichmann, Autokrane Schares authorised signatory, explained.

Schlattmann also explained how its axle loads make it especially easy to get travel permits for it.
