Lifting and transport equipment leasing specialist NXGEN has expanded its fleet of self propelled modular transporter (SPMT).

The Netherlands-headquartered company ordered 92 axle lines of SPMT and six power pack units (PPUs) from manufacturer Scheuerle in Germany. The new equipment will be available to equipment users on a bare lease basis.

The Scheuerle order includes some five axle SPMT modules. Deliveries will be split with the first 32 axle lines and two PPUs scheduled for August. The remainder is due in early and mid 2024, NXGEN said.

A flexible offering

Commenting on his new purchase Russ Jones, NXGEN director, said, “We pride ourselves on providing flexible solutions for our customers and therefore offer our SPMT on a hire only basis or part of a wider package, providing the equipment alongside experienced SPMT engineers for a fully operated service.

“With the addition of 5 axle line units, we’re introducing a further layer of flexibility to our offering and matching the changing demands of projects within the heavy lift sector.”
