O’Carroll receives first three of five-crane deal with Liebherr

O’Carroll Haulage & Crane has taken delivery of three new all-terrain cranes from Liebherr.

The new cranes will help the Ireland-based company to continue expanding its operations by offering a broad range of lifting solutions.

The trio comprises an LTM 1070-4.2, an LTM 1090-4.2 and what is said to be Ireland’s first LTM 1300-6.4.

The 70-ton LTM 1070-4.2 is equipped with a 50-metre telescopic boom. Fitted with a 9.5- to 16-metre double-swingaway fly jib, this increases maximum hoist height to 65 metres while working radius is 48 metres.

Its 90-tonne stablemate features a 60-metre main boom. Topped with a 9.5- to 16-metre double-swingaway fly jib, maximum lifting height is 76 metres. Working radius is 62 metres.

Both cranes can carry all necessary counterweight within a 12-tonne axle load, ensuring rapid mobilisation and efficient on-site setup.

The LTM 1300-6.4 is the heaviest unit in the line-up. The 300-ton model comes equipped with LICCON3, the latest generation of control system. The crane has a 90-metre main boom that can be carried complete within 12-tonne axle loads while travelling.

Equipped with a variety of boom extensions, maximum hoist height is 120 metres and working radius is 94 metres.
