Palletized Trucking Inc. purchases new Sheuerle Highway Trailer
17 April 2013
Palletized Trucking has purchased three units of the newly released Highway Trailer from Scheurle, it was revealed at the TII Sales stand at Bauma.
Michael King, chairman, president and CEO of Palletized, which is based in Houston, TX, said the 9-axle over-the-road transporter will haul loads between 160,000 to 175,000 pounds, under the superload requirement threshold.
Using a 13-axle configuration with a light-weight truck and trailer combination means not having to go through the long waiting period for super load permitting, King explained.
“The Highway Trailer has three axle configurations, counter steering and hydraulic lifting,” said King. “It pulls behind a conventional truck and is highway legal throughout the U.S. This trailer will fill a gap in the market.”
Features include self-unloading and the ability to steer into tight locations.
“We do a lot of hauling of compressors, modular houses, vessels, tracking towers and other hauling for the petro-chemical industry,” King said.
King said the new Highway Trailer, which was designed with the American market in mind, will allow his company to be more competitive in the markets it serves.
