Pinnacle’s revenue growth jumps by more than 8,000 percent in its first three years.
Pinnacle Logistics Solutions has expanded into Western Canada with the opening of an office in Edmonton, Alberta. Headquartered in Cambridge, Ontario, Pinnacle was founded in 2017 as a specialized transportation and project-management company with a focus on over-dimensional and multi-modal freight.
Pinnacle distinguishes itself by offering the versatility of a broker with the technical know-how and hands-on approach of an asset-based transport company, the company said. Combining specialized equipment with strategic relationships to execute large- and medium-scale partnerships – both domestic and international – Pinnacle’s mode o
f operation provides its customers with some of the most efficient, cost-effective and creative turnkey logistics solutions, according to Aaron Gerber, principal and vice president of sales.
He said Pinnacle’s revenue growth jump by more than 8,000 percent in its first three years. It finished 2020 at around $40 million in revenue.
Pinnacle leadership believes the new office positions the company as a true coast-to-coast enterprise – with a foothold in Western Canada.
“While we’ve had a stake in the ground in Western Canada for a while, this opportunity cements Pinnacle as a nationwide operation,” Gerber said. “And to facilitate this presence, we’ve partnered with some true ambassadors – folks who were born and raised in Alberta. They understand Western Canadian economic cycles and are concerned with bringing jobs to the region and participating in its economic growth and development.”
With the new office, Pinnacle now employs more than a dozen people. The Edmonton office will include a team of three: Caleb Mero, Willie Gavinchuk, and Rod Cable.
“This location also allows us to enhance our rail expertise – adding to our goal of being ‘mode-agnostic,’” added Gerber – referencing Pinnacle’s aspiration to not represent a company for whom one mode is preferred or specialized in. “This way, we can offer our clients the best solution for the problem, not the solution that aligns with their specialty (for example, a rail-focused outfit that consistently suggests a rail solution as the best solution).”
