Prillaman’s strengthens its lifting capabilities with a high-capacity five-axle crane built for tight job sites and demanding picks.
Virginia, USA-based Prillaman’s Crane & Rigging has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 all-terrain crane during ConExpo 2026 in Las Vegas, marking the latest addition to its expanding fleet.
Liebherr delivers an LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane to Prillaman Crane & Rigging Inc. at ConExpo 2026.
The handover represents the eighth Liebherr crane for the Hampton-headquartered company and reflects an ongoing relationship between the two family-owned businesses. Founded in 2007, Prillaman’s provides crane rental, rigging and heavy hauling services across Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland, supporting projects in industrial, maritime and HVAC sectors.
The LTM 1250-5.1 is a 300 USt (250 tonne) capacity mobile crane and is considered one of the most powerful cranes in the five-axle class. Designed for versatility, it features Liebherr’s VarioBallast system, allowing operators to adjust ballast radius depending on available space, enabling work in both confined job sites and applications requiring higher lifting capacities.
The crane also incorporates Liebherr’s VarioBase system, which allows each outrigger to be positioned independently. This enhances safety and operational flexibility, particularly in restricted environments where full outrigger extension is not possible.
Additional design features include a single-engine concept, where the superstructure is powered via a mechanical shaft from the undercarriage engine. This configuration reduces maintenance requirements while maintaining performance.
