• Beck Inc./Hilman Rollers

Beck Inc./Hilman Rollers is a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of The Traksporter Self-Propelled Crawler System, which was designed as an alternative for moving heavy equipment in tight spaces. The Traksporter system reduces the need for trucking forklifts and other equipment to a jobsite to make an in-plant move. The crawler has a low profile, provides smooth continuous power, gives the ability to navigate corners non-stop and to place a machine in tight areas. The radio remote control gives the operator control and the flexibility to walk around the object being moved to see all critical areas. The Traksporter has a load capacity of 60,000 pounds and a towing capacity of over 150,000 pounds. At the booth, members can view video footage of several different machinery moves.

• Bellville Rodair International

A specialist in exporting and importing heavy equipment, cranes and over-dimensional project cargo, Bellville Rodair International (BRI) will exhibit at the Product Fair. The company operates as a global freight forwarder and services all major trade lanes. The company says it is finding it necessary to partner and increase two-way communications with its clients about current trends in the market. BRI can design a proactive support plan that allows a client to keep driving their objectives instead of succumbing to the shipping industry constraints that may slow their efforts to meet their international goals, the company says. A Products Fair veteran, Bigge Group will be on hand to promote rental, sales, parts and service of its extensive range of lifting equipment. The April 2008 issue is the 400th issue of Cranes Today, which has published news and information about cranes continuously since 1972. This year, the magazine also celebrates its 20th year of membership in the SC&RA.

• Fleet Cost & Care

Established in 1994, Fleet Cost & Care is a software development, training and support company. Its products were developed to specifically meet the needs of businesses requiring total fleet management in the construction and equipment rental industries. • Garrod Hydraulics

Garrod Hydraulics is a family owned business that was established in 1978. The company specializes in the re-manufacturing of long stroke and large bore hydraulic cylinders. The company has an in-house industrial hard chrome plating shop and has the capacity to chrome plate rods up to 48 feet in length. Garrod is ISO-9000 certified, which helps control quality and turnaround time. The company has recently partnered with Manitowoc Cranes to be part of its EnCore program, which is a repair, remanufacturing and exchange program. This makes Garrod one of two hydraulic cylinder shops in the US authorized to remanufacture their cylinders. Goldhofer's history dates back to 1705. In 1946, Alois Goldhofer founded the vehicle construction company Allgäuer Fahrzeugwerke. At the Product Fair, Ridewell will highlight three products: The Monopivot 240, the Monopivot 247, and the 2400200. The Monopivot 240 series is Ridewell's standard line of trailer air-ride suspensions designed with low maintenance and exceptional ride quality in mind. Monopivot 240 suspensions are available in overslung and underslung models. The Monopivot HD 247 is a low ride height trailer air-ride suspension for disc or drum brakes, and is designed with an integrated axle connection for severe service applications.

The 2400200 is designed to accommodate an IMT-WABCO disc-brake axle for use with 17 1/2; inch wheel-end equipment. The suspension accommodates the disc-brake axle by incorporating a “banana beam” design, where the beam dips down below the brake chamber, and then comes back up to the axle with a standard 240-style axle connection.

• Riggers Manufacturing Co.

Riggers Manufacturing recently bolstered the EZLifter line of gantries with the Model EZ600-33. This addition to the EZLifter family of telescopic gantries has a 1,380 ton maximum capacity on a four leg set-up with a 710 ton capacity at the full extension of 33 feet. Well known for their stability, fast set up time, and ease of use, this model rollout incorporates the new CARL Control System to allow the ability to synchronize lift and travel of up to eight jack legs. The portable belly pack allows the operator to view the lift from any angle, maximizing safety on critical lifts. The company has also incorporated the CARL Control System on all new Trilifter mobile pick and carry machines. The addition of the CARL technology has made a vast improvement in the smoothness of operation of the EZLifter and Trilifter over its previous PLC control systems.

• Rigging Gear Sales

Scheuerle Fahrzeugfabrik of Pfedelbach Germany, manufacturers of Specialized Heavy Lift Transporters and Hydraulic Platform Trailers and Transport Systems and Products Inc., will again have an exhibit booth at the 2008 SC&RA Annual Conference. At the exhibit the company will introduce Scheuerle's new Wide Combi trailer. The modular dual-lane trailer was designed specifically to meet the strict requirements of the US market. The trailer features a Dual Center Beam allowing the frame to longitudinally split to widths of 15, 18, and 20 feet. The Hydraulic Lift System provides a total lift of over 2 feet.
