Quinto Crane & Plant sale raises more than £5 million

4 axle AT crane in Quinto colours A 2010 Tadano Faun 90 tonne AT made £162,500

A sale by Euro Auctions on 23 June saw the crane fleet of Quinto Crane & Plant realise a total of £5.12 million (US$ 6.24 million).

The UK crane rental house established in 1966 went into administration on 4 May. Administrator Price Bailey appointed Euro Auctions to dispose of all the East of England-based wheeled mobile crane rental company’s assets. The sale was at Anson Road near Norwich Airport.

A total of 387 lots attracted more than 600 bidders from Europe and the Middle East. It was an equal split between online and in-person bidders, Euro Auctions said. Most of the bidders were from the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany and Poland, Euro Auctions said.

Commenting on the sale David Betts at Euro Auctions, said, “This was another pivotal off-site sale for Euro Auctions. We are delighted that Price Bailey chose to put their faith in us for this sale, based on our experience in disposing of crane assets, in addition to our extensive experience in conducting disposal sales and through our global network of buyers and consignors. Prices were strong, there was a great deal of international interest, and all lots went for good money.”
