Richter Kran- und Schwerlast receives third Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1

Richter Kran- und Schwerlast has added a third Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane to its fleet.

According to the German heavy lift experts, the nine-axle crane will improve the company’s operational flexibility, particularly with regards to infrastructure, industrial and wind power projects.

“The number of projects is currently enormous – in all areas. It was clear that we needed additional lifting capacity in this class,” explained company owner Matthias Richter.

Martin Krusche, head of the crane department, added: “The LTM 1750-9.1 is powerful, quick to set up and ideal for our range of crane jobs, i.e. in bridge construction, transformer installation, industrial plants and repair and dismantling projects in the wind industry.”

The crane delivers its impressive load capacity thanks to its Y-shaped bracing. Optimised for the installation of wind turbines and equipped with a luffing jib, the new addition to Richter’s crane fleet can reach lifting heights of up to 156 metres.

With three identical LTM 1750-9.1 cranes now in its fleet, the company has the flexibility to support parallel large-scale projects and also short-term deployment extensions.

“If a crane job unexpectedly takes longer, we can react immediately and send an identical machine to the next project. This gives us enormous planning security – also with regard to road transport permits,” said Krusche.

Just one day after the handover, the new crane was deployed to lift several plant components for a ceramics facility in Selb. “For this job, all services are provided from a single source. The individual components, weighing up to 80 tonnes, were collected from northern Sweden by our in-house transport department using three heavy-duty transporters,” explained Anton Pätzold, head of the Transport department.
