Stafford Crane Group appoints Mike Posener

Mike Posener has been appointed marketing and business development director at Stafford Crane Group, owner of Stafford Tower Cranes. It is a newly created position at the international tower crane specialist.

Most recently Posener spent nearly 20 years at International Cranes and Specialized Transport magazine and he has extensive experience in the construction industry.

He will focus on developing the Stafford brand worldwide, including rebranding the Portuguese Soima range of tower cranes which Stafford acquired in 2021. Work is underway to introduce a range of luffing jib tower cranes in capacities from 16 to 42 tonnes.

Family-owned SCG manufactures, rents, sells and services tower cranes, mobile cranes and construction hoists. It also offers operators, erection and dismantling services, technicians and consulting services on projects around the world.

SCG has a fleet of around 100 cranes and was placed 24th in the 2023 IC Tower Index of the world’s largest tower crane-owning companies.
