A construction crane has collapsed due to the bad weather in Malmo, Sweden, and crashed into several construction sheds.

In addition to this damage, tens of thousands of people have been left without electricity, trees have been destroyed and several bridges have been closed.

According to Swedish media, no one in Malmo was injured.

The Öresund Bridge which connects Sweden and Denmark was forced to temporarily close. While it reopened soon after, large vehicles were advised to delay passage.

Sweden has placed an orange weather warning for the area, the second most serious warning.

On early Sunday the Swedish Meteorological Institute issued an orange warning for wind and snow for the country’s southeastern regions, the Roslag coast and Gotland island.
