Terex launches 80 tonne capacity rough terrain crane

Terex Rough Terrain Cranes in Italy has introduced the 80 tonne capacity TRT 80L rough terrain crane.
In addition to strong lifting performance, Terex highlighted transport convenience as a highlight of the new two axle model. This is facilitated in part by its width of 3 metres. It also helps when manoeuvring in confined spaces and on congested jobsites.
Self mounting counterweight helps too and makes for speedier set up and dismantling. Four steering modes help when manoeuvring and setting up. Once set up the TRT 90L can then make full use of its 47 metre telescopic boom. Jib options are 9 and 17 metres.
“The TRT 80L has a combination of advanced features and user-centric design that makes it a standout addition to any fleet,” said Stefania D’Apoli senior sales support manager RT cranes at Terex.
All sorts of applications
“With an enhanced boom length and self-removable counterweight, it has significantly improved operational efficiency and transportability, enabling it to meet the demands of several applications, including ports, construction, infrastructure, mining, energy, yard logistics and general lifting,” D’Apoli continued.
As is found on many rough terrain cranes, power is from an inline six cylinder Cummins QSB6.7 diesel. It also has the Eco Mode function and anti-stall control. Versions to EU Stage 111A/Tier 3 and EU Stage 5/Tier 4 Final exhaust emission standards are available.
Drive is via a Powershift transmission and permanent 4-wheel drive. Manual mode offers three forward speeds and the same in reverse. Automatic mode has six forward and three reverse speeds.
In the new wider cab is the Terex Operating System (TEOS), designed for usability and better information flow via a new 10 inch (400 mm) colour touch screen. Also standard is the Terex T-Link telematics data system, an anemometer and LED lights.
