Gather the employees up close to hear and participate
• Use current safety information relevant to the job task you are performing
• Speak about current accidents and your past experiences
• Use hands-on training and demonstrations
• Encourage employee input and questions
• Consider employees to lead the meeting, rotating the responsibility each week
• Discuss your safety record and actions necessary to prevent recurrence
• Keep the meetings short and productive 10 to 15 minutes
• Supervisors and management should participate and monitor
