Topping-out ceremony for new Tadano parts facility

Tadano has held a topping-out ceremony for its new European parts centre which is now under construction.

“With today’s topping-out ceremony, we are taking a decisive step closer to our goal of making spare parts supply for our European customers even faster, more reliable, and more efficient,” said Dr. Frank Schröder, managing director and executive vice president, Customer Support.

Located in Lauf an der Pegnitz, Germany, the new facility is set to improve inventory capacity and turnaround times for customer deliveries. Tadano reported that the site will increase part capacity by 30%.

The new spare parts centre will be adjacent to Tadano’s existing production facility in Lauf, which will help to support improved component availability. In some cases, parts could be dispatched on the same day an order is received.

Tadano technicians will also be on site to offer customer support.

Operation of the new center, which is scheduled to open in the second half of 2026, will be shared between Tadano and logistics specialist Gruber.

Gruber is the exclusive shipment specialist for Tadano, which has given the company considerable experience in managing part deliveries.

“The centralized processing at the new spare parts centre in Lauf will allow us to consolidate spare parts for all Tadano cranes into a single shipment, reducing effort and costs for our customers,” explained Schröder.
