South Dakota, USA-based Trail King has introduced three new automatic kingpin steering trailers, expanding its heavy haul lineup with models designed to improve maneuverability and jobsite performance.
The new models, TK110HD-S, TK160HDG-S and TK130HES-S, incorporate steering technology paired with feedback from operators, targeting applications that require greater flexibility in confined or challenging environments.
TK160HDG-S
Leading the lineup, the TK110HD-S features a 9-foot (2.7-meter) wide, 53-foot (16.2-meter) long frame and offers up to 40 degrees of steering angle. Its ultra-low 14-inch (356-milimeter) loaded deck height is designed for low-clearance routes, while modular axle and deck configurations allow it to be adapted for a range of hauling requirements.
The TK160HDG-S integrates kingpin steering into a 13-axle configuration, including jeep, trailer and booster components. The design is intended to support complex transport operations with customizable configurations.
TK130HES-S
Meanwhile, the TK130HES-S features an extendable mono-beam deck, six steerable axles and compatibility with jeep and booster setups, offering additional flexibility and control when handling oversized loads. Trail King said the trailers were developed in collaboration with heavy haul operators to address real-world challenges, including tight job sites and restrictive transport routes.
