08 April 2026
Indiana, USA-based Traylor Bros., Inc. has taken delivery of a Liebherr LR 1400 SX crawler crane during ConExpo 2026, expanding its heavy lift capabilities with a machine selected for its load chart performance and reliability.
Traylor Bros. has spent more than 80 years building a portfolio of complex construction projects, including bridge, underground and marine work.
The crane will join more than 10 Liebherr units already in the company’s fleet, including the HS 885, HS 895, HS 8200, LR 1300 and LR 1400. According to the company, the LR 1400 SX was chosen as the best fit for its lifting requirements, particularly where consistent performance is critical in its project work.
The LR 1400 SX is designed for heavy lifting operations and long boom configurations, with lifting capacities that can be increased through derrick equipment and counterweight systems. Liebherr’s VarioTray counterweight system allows for precise adjustment, while position monitoring supports safe and flexible operation.
Additional features include a self-assembly system for the crawler side frames, enabling faster setup, and a gradient travel aid designed to improve safety when operating on uneven terrain. The crane also offers improved cab access, operator comfort and serviceability, supporting uptime on demanding job sites.
